Abstract
This work will, through a bibliographic review, reflect on the erosion of collectivity and symbolic cohesion, highlighting the depreciation of literature in its potential, from the absence of the Right to Laziness. To do so, the current contours of society will be analyzed, from Byung Chul Han for a portrait of productivity, performance and collective narcissism. In this process, language is captured to produce information – only. No magic. No charm. At the same time that society becomes narcissistic, symbols disappear. For this reason, based on Derrida, the – unlimited – potential of literature will be evaluated, which as a symbolic mediation is neutralized by being a political weapon in constant deconstruction, with the depreciation of its genuine character through the attack on language. playful. Finally, it is intended to demonstrate from the counterpoint between the primacy of work, manipulated and instrumentalized by neoliberalism, and Lafargue's Right to Laziness, highlighting literature as a possibility of liberation of society.
